Taylor Burton

Taylor Burton is a grade 10 student at Riverview High School. Taylor is a singer, songwriter, musician who has performed at various functions throughout the Cape Breton area. Taylor is actively involved in the youth Challenge movement as both a challenger and a leader. Taylor is also actively involved in his church as a member of the worship team and as a soloist.

Taylor was recently named runner up at Cape Breton’s Next Big Thing, a local high school talent search held in May 2010. Taylor was also awarded first place in the Cape Breton Regional Library Teen Songwriters’ Competition held in June 2010.

Taylor’s favourite scripture verse is “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)
